“Where Art Meets the Spirit of the Game”
A curated collection of original golf course paintings, iconic commissions, and timeless prints by William Mangum.

The Art of the Game: A Legacy on Canvas
As a native son of Pinehurst—America’s Home of Golf—I've spent my career capturing the colorful terrain and timeless emotion of the game I love. Over the decades, my work has been commissioned by many of golf’s most revered institutions: from the Men’s and Women’s U.S. Open, The Masters, and Pebble Beach, to Pinehurst Resort, Congressional Country Club, and beyond.
Along the way, I’ve had the honor of exhibiting with some of the finest names in golf art: Leroy Neiman, Bernie Fuchs, and Linda Hartough. My early years focused on watercolor’s delicate detail, but today I work in acrylics—allowing for bold scale and brilliance that matches the majesty of the sport.
As an esteemed member of the North Carolina Golf Panel, I continue to rate and celebrate the finest courses in my home state—many of which have been captured on canvas and featured in my collector’s book Classic North Carolina Golf Courses. Whether you're a player, collector, or fan of the fairway, I invite you to explore this unique gallery where the game meets fine art.

Celebrating the Icons of Golf
A curated gallery of William Mangum’s most celebrated works—where art and legacy intersect.
Over the course of my five-decade career, I’ve had the privilege of capturing some of the most iconic moments and locations in golf. These paintings—whether commissioned for major tournaments or created from personal inspiration—represent a body of work that honors both the tradition and terrain of the game.
From the windswept cliffs of Pebble Beach to the storied sandhills of Pinehurst, these pieces have become cherished centerpieces in private collections, galleries, and golf institutions alike. They serve as a visual tribute not just to the courses, but to the emotion, drama, and history etched into every fairway.
While many of these originals are no longer available, their stories live on here—as a testament to the beauty of the game and the enduring relationship between golf and art.
