The Creation Process
Creation of US Open Painting and Poster - Pinehurst No. 2
This series of studies and completed painting show the steps involved in a commissioned work. On site visits by the artist and meetings with the client ultimately conceive and birth the creation of a spectacular painting. Usual lead time from beginning to end is six months.
Quail Hollow No. 7
This impressive painting of the seventh hole at Quail Hollow is an outstanding tribute to this gentile southern club. Tom Fazio’s design is beautifully rendered in William Mangum’s work. This large painting is one of several works commissioned to celebrate this private club’s legacy and rich tradition as a major PGA tour stop. From this magnificent painting Tournament favors were created.
